BAYTUL ILM MAKTAB COURSE OVERVIEW (2023-2024)
The Children’s evening Quran and Islamic Studies classes also commonly referred to as Madrassah or Maktab are for children aged 5 and 16 years of age. 'The Maktab' is the name of our Islamic supplementary school which runs on weekdays in the evening. Alhamdulillah, it is a great privilege for Baytul Ilm Academy Sunderland to be able to provide rudimentary Islamic education for our future generations.
At Baytul Ilm Academy we ensure our students are well equipped citizens with clear Islamic values and ethos. We use the Safar Academy Islamic studies syllabus. This Syllabus has been developed for children living in the UK and has been devised taking into account the preferred learning styles suited to the children of today.
Students are provided with Quran studies from elementary to advanced levels which is taught using modern and up to date teaching methods.
The aims of these classes are to teach children the foundational and fundamental aspects of Islam in a fun and interactive way within a classroom setting. Upon completion of this syllabus the children are moulded into upright, well-mannered and practicing British Muslims, who play a part in benefitting themselves, their families and the wider society.
All our teachers are regularly trained ensuring the level and quality of the teaching is standardised and of a high level.
